Well, I will use this thread to post new features/ updates to the board. There should be a bunch for the first few days/ weeks, as not everything was ready before I was forced to go live with the forums (thanks Erik!) so to prove i am not slacking (more than usual anyway) here are my updates :
Forum is up and running!
Mod backend for Mods is integrated and working

Chat feature is integrated and most of the bugs are worked out... set to auto log in with forum user name...

Avatars are now selectable from the User CP side bar

I am working on integrating a spell check feature, so us non IE users can have one too...

Changed a few of the Rep titles to suggestions posted on the forum.

Found and installed a spell check feature... it should work with firefox, IE, Netscape, and Safari... possibly more - if there is a problem while using it, please send me a PM, or post under the Tech help thread in this forum.:)

Am starting to customize the forums... created and updated the top banner, updated links, so they point to the proper home page (instead of forum's home page), Installed a few generic templates so those who want a different look can have it (until I am finished with the custom one I am working on that is)

Coded a few new options on the backend of things for myself (admins) and other moderators.

Started experimenting with different icons for rep status (I'll keep you posted).

All in all things are moving along nicely given the amount of time I have had to devote to this (none).

Added a few rep related items in the User CP main page. I have the bugs (mostly) worked out, and as such have now given everyone who has posted at least once, 1 Rep power point. so now you can start to lend your rep, or throw your weight around with other users of the forums! Just please be good, I do not want to have to babysit...
Speaking of rep, I have also changed some of the status tags. keep those ideas comming, I still have a ton of entries to fill...

I wasn't happy with the way the rep was displayed...
I changed the mouse over text to display points earned, rather than rep title.
Added the rep title underneath the rep gems.
I also fixed some layout issues on the member profile page, and made the same switch as above for it.

So I am FINALLY ready to be done with the reputation code.... For now:p

Am working on a few different color schemes, not new skins entirely... less programing that way...

Green will be the first set... feel free to post any color ideas under the Forum requests forums...

I hated the look of green, so it got scrapped... Black was requested, and was pushed through with very little work done to it, it's not the prettiest, but it works...

Added another field under profile to type your marker in.

wanted to do a combo poll, but only one was allowed per thread, so i added a survey feature... and then went overboard playing with it... a simple 2 question poll turned into a 10 question survey (http://www.bubbaspb.com/splatter/survey.php?&do=take&sid=28), but i digress... the permissions are set so any registered user can create a survey... enjoy!

Added a new forum called introductions, as a place where new members can introduce themselves to the rest of us.

In conjunction with that, a new script has been added to let users know their status (unregistered, awaiting e-mail confirmation, etc.) and will only pop up if you fall under that category. I also added some for those who have not yet posted, and those who havent posted in a while...

Restructured the polls forum to include surveys as a forwarding link... I am trying to figure out a way to reply to surveys like you can polls, but there is a lot of code to go through!

I added more smiles, some of which you may recogonise from the old splatter.

I am starting to loose more time to this site, and all major changes have been done, so this may be the last entry for a while...:thumb:

Went through the main pages of the site, changed some content, updated links etc. The biggest changes were to the price page, and the local interest pages. Set up the forms to run through Chatter now.... All events sent will be sent via PM for now, but I may decide to post them directly to a forum.... I need to think about that one....

Thanks to Wubs' great idea (http://www.bubbaspb.com/splatter/showthread.php?p=230#post230), I have add a new button to the posts... It looks like a fist, and it will allow you instantly send an e-slap to that user. please use somewhat responsibly...

BTW... anyone makes a comment on my wonderful circle drawing abilities, and I will slap you :p

I changed the way the thread histories are kept, so you may need to hit the all messages read button to get the icons back to normal.
I also included an area in the top of the navbar to let you know if there are any unread posts...

Changed a few things with the reputation... you now need to leave a comment with the rep.

Changed over servers to clean up the sites both bubbaspb and bubbaspaintball are now on the same server, increasing speed and ease of use between sites.

Reset and updated the emoticons... There were several dead links after the last crash. all should be working now though! :stop whining:

Will start working on other dead links throught the next week or so...
