So I am curerently hooked on two different groups right now, Morcheeba, and a group from Madison called The Profits.

Morcheeba is the kind of music you can listen to while you are working. It is very low key, but at the same time if one wanted to pay attention, the lyrics are pretty good as well..

As for The Profits, I'm not really sure why I am currently hooked on them... Their music is catchy as hell, but I can't quite put my finger on why. I would say the closest I can compare them to would be the Barenaked Ladies, another one of my favorite bands. Oh well. if any of you happen to be in the Madison area, definately check them out!

What are all 'yall listening to these days?

lets see...current cd count at around 750 i think....most bands, no one has heard of and/or they will be big in the next few months to a year. I like the underground!!!! Most people actually think I am schitzo from the music choices...everything from abba to slayer.

Just to name of few bands I really dig right now....Arcade Fire, Bloc Party, Idiot Pilot, The Forecast, Panic! at the Disco, Youth Group, and Bleeding Through. It really just depends on the mood I am in. I am THE music guru. Any questions just ask.

So wubs, I do have a question...

When you are holding a minor sus chord, which line is supposed to make the final resolution, soprano, alto, or tenor?

:D :D :D

even though I have no clue because I do not pay attention to your music "theories" I am gonna say tenor. I guess I should rephrase my title to the guru of modern music...there happy? by the way did you check out the arcade fire yet Todd....I know you will like them.

yeah, you were right, I do like them... they strike me as a cross between Talking Heads, and Gary Numan... very 80's feel to 'em.

So was I right on your question though Todd? As for the eighties feel to them....not sure I agree with that. I just call it a classical feel. I guess I would agree with eighties feel cause of the dancey parts. You should also check out these bands..
